35 Plays.

spiritofthe80s:

1983’s EP from Weber & The Buzztones featured “Runaway”. A tight Cars-like “new wave” rythm, when wave was not yet in. A release that smacked of talent having fun. Later Ken Riley moved on to another favorite band rife with talent “Common Bond”.

No way! I though I was the only one that had ever heard of Weber and the Buzztones. They played at our camp so I’ve got an autographed cassette.

  God’s world is good.

Actually, this is the world God cursed and turned over to the Prince of Darkness. Just imagine how cool heaven is.

I just launched a tribute tumblr for old school Riligious Rock. Check it.

This is so up my alley it’s hard to even put into words.

“Amazing Grace” by Victor Wooten (via jeffro887)

In case you forgot what “beautiful music” means.

This is impressive, especially since he plays a lot of it using harmonics.

That is some impressive work on a base guitar.

Turning to Christ

“What men turn to is more important than what they turn from, even if that to which they turn is only a higher moral truth; but to turn to Christ is far more important than to turn to higher moral truth: it is to turn the face towards Him in whom is all moral truth; it is to turn to Him in whom is not only the virtue which corresponds to the known vice from which the penitent wishes to flee, but all virtue; it is to turn the face to all holiness, all purity, all grace. It was this repentance which the apostles preached after Pentecost.”

—Roland Allen (1869-1947), Pentecost and the World [1917] (via CQOD)
